Throwing Sticks and Stones . . .Then the Finger

I was driving home the other day when I approached a roundabout and had to yield to the traffic circling from my left. 

As I was waiting for the traffic to pass by, I started to daydream a bit.  Nothing horrible…just a slight moment of pathetic “dazed and confused” which lasted for all of five . . . okay . . . maybe ten . . . seconds.

I stress that time frame because due to my bewildered state of mind and unbeknownst to me, there was a very impatient woman in a minivan behind me, who took offense to the fact that I didn’t immediately start moving when the traffic cleared, so she honked to get my attention.

Being startled out of my stupor, I proceeded to move into the roundabout, and I also felt the need to politely honk my horn and peering in my rearview mirror, made a simple wave back to her in appreciation. 

And that’s all it was…a simple wave of the hand. 

But the impatient motorist behind me did not see it that way and decided to respond with a hand gesture of her own.  An unkindly retort that would be akin to a monkey throwing its poo. 

In other words. . . she gave me the finger.

At that moment I felt a sudden urge of pathetic frustration fill my soul, and my appreciative frame of mind turned sour.  It was then that my cordial wave turned into a single finger salute of discontent. 

I mean, how could I NOT return the gesture in a kindly, yet ever-so-subtle, display of toxic elation? 

She then decided to switch lanes and drive past me where we both had the opportunity to give one another passing glances.

Mine — A simple smile with a gentle wave of affection.

And her — Another mean-spirited hand gesture that just made me laugh out loud.

After which, she then proceeded to speed away at a frantic pace trying to make her exit from the objectified situation, but just then my laughter became even more hearty because . . . the traffic light at the next intersection turned red which meant she had to stop because she was too far away to run through it. . . and there wasn’t anyone between her and I. . . and I was now behind her.  (insert diabolical laughter here)

Of course, I didn’t plan to engage the situation any further because I realized she was probably having a bad day and needed that moment to release her frustrations. 

Perhaps she got bad news from the doctor, or maybe she had an argument with someone before she decided to climb behind the wheel of a three-quarter ton vehicle, or maybe she just woke up in a bad mood . . .  

No matter the reason, I was pretty confident that, had it not been me, some other poor intolerant sap would have been the object of her pathetic indifference and the situation would have clearly escalated further. 

However, before either of us could make eye contact or find out what might have transpired HAD we made eye contact, she darted abruptly across two lanes, veered into an empty turn lane and sped off in another direction.

As I sat waiting for the green light, I reviewed the situation that just happened and came to the understanding that whether it’s a simple hand gesture or a verbal word, it’s crazy how many times someone is in a bad mood and decides to take out their frustrations on another soul who may or may not deserve it. 

Fact is, everyone gets grumpy at times and some of us will throw a temper tantrum, then throw an object, then we regret throwing said object because it either damaged something or someone; and that’s normally when we settle back into a more tender-hearted disposition because we feel remorse for our actions.  

However, as of late, it feels like more cattle in the herd don’t feel the regret or remorse for hurting someone or something anymore.

For instance, take some of the pathetic crap that’s happening in the world right now and look at how little remorse people have for causing damage to something or someone.  It’s almost like these undisciplined drones enjoy causing pain, misery and reckless damage.  It’s almost like their hurtful actions add fuel to an inward rage that causes them to act out more aggressively and more often.

Maybe it’s just my own pathetic observations, but it sure seems like these deranged cattle really do enjoy throwing sticks and stones at everything and everyone.  And when the sticks and stones aren’t enough, they throw the proverbial finger of vexation.

It’s like they want to poke the proverbial bear, which only makes the bear unhappy, which makes the bear respond in retaliation, which causes unnecessary harm to the stick bearer, which causes the authorities to put the bear in a cage.  It’s a lose-lose for everyone involved.

Furthermore, I’m confident these demoralized prepubescents understand the ramifications of their actions and are purposely trying to incite a response from the bear; and this is where common sense and wisdom begs me to ask the following questions: 

Why bother poking the bear?
Heck!  Why bother picking up the stick in the first place?! 

Perhaps what the bear pokers don’t really understand is that pathetic behavior will only create more pathetic behavior.  It’s an endless cycle of pathetic and we can only hope that natural selection will finally win out in the end.  

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it — Pathetic is everywhere and if you can’t see it, you’re not paying attention.

I’m finished with wordpress…

My last post took me nearly two hours to type up due to the fact that wordpress has created a text editing horror show.

I’ve tried to post on here since the change a couple years ago, but honestly, this stupid mess of frustration is reminiscent of my previous place of employment.

Therefore, I will no longer be posting on this forum.

I am currently looking for another blog site to host my page that doesn’t have the most pathetic piece of crap block editing garbage dump known to man.

I’ll let you know where I move to when I find it. — who knows….maybe I’ll just start my own blog site and actually listen to the users instead of making pathetic changes and then forcing it on everyone without testing it.

If someone out there actually likes the feel and the pathetic layout of this block editing mess, well… you’re just as pathetic as the dip-doodles who created it and forced it on the users.

Suck it wordpress.

Where are you? 

The United States of America is burning at the hands of terrorists, and you’re no where to be found. 

When a mass murder happened because some lunatic decided to terrorize a community by shooting up a school or a mall, you were quick to pick up a microphone, condemn the actions and cry injustice!  Intolerance!  Hate!! 

But now…as law enforcement is attacked openly for wearing a badge, as United States citizens are dying in the streets due to ignorance and as businesses are being looted and burn due to incivility… where are you? 

Are you are locked safely behind closed doors with your security cameras scanning your property while a nation, you claim to “love”, is being destroyed by terrorists?  Or are you out there on the streets participating with those who terrorize?

You hypocrites!!   

You cowards!!!   

You wanted a lawless nation where people roam free to live as their personal desires lead them. So, you legalized all forms of debauchery.  Heinous abominations against what is good and wholesome.  You rationalized it with the phrase, “People are doing it anyway, so we might as well legalize it.” 

But you sad-sack imbeciles didn’t know what fire you were playing with.

You liberals have proven your ignorance.  The ignorance that you never understood the true nature of the human heart and the crimes humans are capable of. 

You liberals failed to understand that the inherited desires of humanity are disobedience, selfishness, cruelty, arrogance, lies, intolerance . . . . hate.  

You wanted free thinkers!  Opposed to the ways of God or even the existence of a god or any god for that matter! 

You liberals appear to appreciate others beliefs and you pride yourselves in letting the world know that you’re so tolerant, but your ultimate goal was to ruin anyone who you don’t agree with and to rid these “intolerant bigots” from your lives so you could continue your hate-filled way of life without feeling any guilt or shame.  

In the public eye your words were sweet as honey, alluding to a higher power to appease those you despise.  You spoke of prayer and used the name of their Savior and Lord to charm them into thinking your motives might be true; but in secret you devised and plotted against them.

You liberals elevated science and government…human idols!…as the new standard of rule. 

You liberals used education to push your agenda into those you could indoctrinate easily…the young minds of children. 

You liberals preached to the masses that if they believed the way their parents believed, they weren’t truly “free”.   

And by using guilt and shame you deceived people into believing they were racists and bigots.  Words you love to shout every time you want to make someone feel inferior.  The same words still being shouted by the terrorists who are now rioting, looting and pillaging cities all over the United States.   

Your hypocritic words resonated in the minds of the unsuspecting and weak, leading them to question their own beliefs and causing them to fall into a life of debauchery against their very souls.

But you didn’t stop there. 

With education, science and government in your pocket you planned an all-out assault on your enemy by using newspapers, journalists and eventually the internet to push your unholy agenda.  After all…you still believe that the pen is mightier than the sword.  

Therefore, you liberals wrote speeches that pronounced all humans as being inherently “good”.

I got news for you…

It’s pathetic to refer to people as being “good” if the people refuse to abide by the law as it was written and aren’t held accountable for their disobedience or their terroristic actions towards others.  At that point the nation of which those people reside becomes a nation of selfish ambition.  Intolerance.  Injustice.  Hate. 

Humanity is not inherently good, and if left to themselves, they will destroy one another!  This is proven every single day.  Just read the headlines! 

But during all of your plotting and scheming, you never once considered the outcome of your actions.  

You liberals never once considered that humanity and the true nature of a human heart will always leave the world in disarray if left to its own desire and will. 

You Fools!!   

You liberals wanted a nation of sinful, worldly people who are filled with pride, arrogance, disobedience, immorality and abominable acts. . .

well . . . 

Congratulations!!!  You now have the nation you always dreamed of.

Liberals… You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father.  You prove this every single day!

Your father was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him.  Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies, and you are a mirror image of him.

Consequently, the discipline that awaits you and your father, the devil, is coming very quickly. For the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.

I know you don’t care, and I know you won’t heed these words of rebuke.  I know this, because you have been chosen for destruction.  Created for this very moment in time so that the Word of God will be proven true.  

It was by the foreknowledge of God that He created you just as He created Pharaoh in the days when Israel was held in slavery to Egypt.  For the Scripture says to Pharaoh…“For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.” (Romans 9:17).  Those same words can also be spoken to you!  

Therefore, God is able to create some for honorable use and others for dishonorable use.  No matter how they are created, God will use them both to accomplish His purpose and have His name proclaimed in all the Earth.   

As for you who claim to know the Lord Jesus…the Son of God…the Almighty King of Kings…turn from your wickedness and repent!  And Take Courage!!  Fear not!!  Do not be dismayed!!! 

For those of us who are truly followers of the LORD JESUS can rest in the fact that God the Father causes ALL things to work together for good to those who love God, and to those called according to His purpose.  For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that Jesus would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom God predestined, He also called; and these whom God called, He also justified; and these whom God justified, He also glorified. (Romans 8:28-29) 

But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full. 

Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry. 

Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. 

Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way.  (Luke 6:24-26)
