I received an email late this afternoon that someone else got the job I interviewed for.
I’m not really happy about it, but oh well…such is life. I’m sure the job would have been pathetic anyway.

I’m sorry. What a pathetic email. Although I do prefer emails that at least tell me they picked someone else because waiting for nothing is sad.
You know what really annoys me? When they shake your hand and say, “We’ll call you back for a second interview.” You saw someone get hired for one of the other open positions right after their interview, so you know it’s a waste of time to hope.

I’ve had that happen as well, and it is annoying to have someone tell you that they want to have a second interview then hire someone else. I’ve also had them tell me that I’m their top candidate and then a week later received a letter saying thank you, but no.

Sorry about the interview. I’m there (no job) at the moment! I will also pray for you.

I’ve always found those situations a bit of blessing in disguise. The job was probably revolting and they would have treated you badly. You will do better, you are worth it!

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. Here’s hoping you find something even better soon. 🙂 (Oh and they were probably PATHETIC anyway) for not taking you on!

Interviewing for jobs is the worst. Even though I know it’s coming, I’m always stumped by the “what’s your greatest weakness” question. Caring too much? Picking my nose and flicking my boogers on the person asking me this question? I hope you find the job that’s right for you, and please do not use my responses. That would be bad :).

They seriously ask questions like that? My interview experiences are limited, but I’ve never been asked that….Which is good, I’m not sure what I’d say. Probably being put on the spot by bizarre questions?! 😉

I’m sorry. I once lost a job to a convicted felon with a bone through her nose. Yes, my pride was hurt. I did feel better when she finally cleaned their safe out one night and left town.

LOL! WHAT?! Are you being serious?

Yes, serious. I lost a job I really wanted to a felon. People don’t always hire the best person for the job and life is not fair 😉

Sorry to hear that, I know what it’s like. Praying you have better luck next time.
