You’re All Cattle (what I really think)

out of lifeMy grandpappy used to tell me that people are like cattle grazing in the pasture.  They all start out in one area of the pasture, and then one of them will mosey over to another plot of land and start grazing.  Eventually a couple more will follow and then a few more, until the majority of the herd has moved to the new spot…save one or two strays.  

It amazes me how so many of you are followers. 

You’re pathetic.  Seriously!  Look at you!!!  LOOK AT YOU!!!  

You join social media and you start following someone.  You follow people in your car.  You follow people on the sidewalk.  You follow people in line at the checkout counter.  And then…you start a blog and start following others to read the garbage they write.

What the hell is wrong with you people!?!?

Therefore, I refuse to follow your blog.  If you follow this one, that’s up to you…but I won’t follow yours.  I refuse to be like the rest of the herd.  Won’t do it. 

So, if you’re wondering what irtfyblog stands for, just repeat after me:  “I Refuse To Follow Your Blog.”   (wow…if you just repeated that, you’re such a follower.)

    Do you know I visited your blog at least 2-3 times, scanned it through and through, put it upside down and shook it, gave it a choke-slam and beat the crap out of it and THEN I found your hidden ABOUT friking PAGE. Every time I visited I didn’t know where to post a comment or what to make out of the blog.

    BUT,

    Due to a fortunate happenstance, I found your About Page and also read so much of your stuff and wondered why hadn’t I FOLLOWED your blog until now. It’s a beautiful place to be, it’s interesting and well ..it has humor in it, sort of like a perfect literary package. I will look forward to some healthy blogging from you. 🙂

    Although some free advice, just do something to make people know that this is your About Page, that way you’ll get more audience.

      I had no idea that my page was that confusing. I’ll be sure to take your advice and update the “about” page so people know what it is.

      I’m actually thinking about selecting a new layout so it’s easier for people to find stuff.

      I’m happy that you’re following my blog. I always enjoy seeing that little notification telling me that I have a new follower, and I guess I always thought you were following my blog.

      I changed it and made some other minor changes…let me know if it’s easier to find my “about” page and what you think of the new layout.
