I Am the Official “Rebound Guy”

Between the ages of 20 and 40 years old I’ve watched 14 different women, whom I’ve dated, march down the aisle on the arm of another man within three years after we broke up or stopped dating.

I’m not kidding.

Within a 20 year period . . . Dated fourteen different women . . . All of them got married within three years after we stopped seeing one another.

Pathetically, I can still name them:  Kelly, Elizabeth, Kristen #1, Amy, Yvette, Beth, Angie, Diane, Sara, Kristin #2, Christi, Karen, Stacey and Sandra.

(I told you it was pathetic.)

And here’s the reason I consider myself the official “Rebound Guy”:  Every single one of those women broke up with a previous long-term relationship just before they started dating me.

I call that…

Okay.  Not really.

I actually call it pathetic and the reason I quit dating altogether.  (six years and counting since my last official date!)

Missed Opportunities

missed opportunity

What do you do when everything inside you tells you that you’re going to be a failure, but when you see that one person who takes your breath away you suddenly have the confidence of 1000 men?

Do you approach them?  Do you say hello?  Do you just stand there gawking like a weirdo and repress the confidence with negative thoughts?

In my case, I approach them and say hello.  I’m kinda weird like that, except this morning…I saw a woman walking into the building where I get my morning coffee, and since I wasn’t having a very good morning, my spirit was kind of. . . disgruntled.

Anyway, she was walking in the building ahead of me and held the door for myself and another person.  For a brief moment she looked up at me and when our eyes met, my confidence grew.  I can’t really explain it, it just did.

As we walked closer to the elevators, she flipped her hair a few times and kind of slowed down a bit to let me catch up.  All the signs were there and I felt like saying hello or asking her how she was doing this morning, however, instead of saying anything to her I let her get on the elevator and never even looked back.

I have no idea who she is.  No idea if I’ll ever see her again.  No idea if I’ll ever have the opportunity to introduce myself again.

Missed opportunities are pathetic, but sometimes being a guy and feeling like you’re the one who has to make the move all the time can be really pathetic as well.

Reality Agenda

I don’t watch the smut-dramas on television.  Mostly because I don’t care for the fake, frauds and put-on’s that television producers have shoved into the lives of the naive who actually think that crap is real.

The soap operas and the “reality” shows can be thrown to the trash heap and I wouldn’t care one bit.  Except for College Football and Major League Baseball.  Those “reality” shows can make for some really intense and awesome nights in front of the television, and yes…sports are a type of reality show, but the other shows can be removed from the airwaves.

Big Brother, Survivor, which is just a knockoff of Gilligan’s Island without Thurston Howell the Third, “Real” (a very loose definition of the term) Housewives, Daytime talk shows and of course the bachelor and bachelorette (a show which is really a ploy by television producers to promote the spread of STD’s) are just stupid.

Personally, I don’t understand how people can sit and watch a show with a group of cattle who are all trying to lie, cheat and steal their way into the lives of other people.  There’s a little honesty, but even that is a lie wrapped up in a lie to only cover another lie that was told to conceal the first lie.

See what the producers have done?

Yeah…I didn’t think so.

And speaking of the bachelorette, it appears from the cover of some tabloid magazine (that I happened to catch a glimpse of while standing in line at the supermarket) and the news feeds all across the internets this morning that contestant “zero” revealed she had intercourse with one of the test subjects.

I have to admit, I snickered a little after reading an article about it because I firmly believe that contestant zero has had sex with ALL of the test subjects at some point on that show.  But the pathetic thing is that since the show is losing viewers, the publicists and producers have to do whatever they can to get the viewers back, so instead of changing the format or making the show more believable, they instead, have contestant “zero” or one of the test subjects admit to the real purpose “behind” the show.  …  A-hem… No pun intended of course.

The strange thing about this is that contestant “zero” admitted her indiscretion on live television to one of the other test subjects while drunk off her keester and when asked by the test subject if she regretted it, her reply was, “I felt guilt. I didn’t expect it to happen,” she explains. “When I woke up the next morning, I couldn’t stop thinking about what it might do to our relationship.”

Soooo…does that mean having casual sex with someone while you’re trying to woo other potential suitors can have an impact on those potential relationships?!?!

Is that what I’m hearing?

Okay…maybe not.  The show is all about spreading STD’s to as many test subjects as possible so I’m thinking that it’s more about how much contestant “zero” can lie, cheat and steal their way into the hearts and minds of the unsuspecting test subjects.

I guess what I’m getting at here is the basic fundamental truth that morality is hard when you’re living in a world that doesn’t know how to live by a set of morals and keeps changing the rules to make their immorality look like morality when it’s really not morality at all.

You cattle really know how to make this world a very confusing and difficult place to live.

That said, it’s a very pathetic world we live in.

**WARNING/DISCLAIMER**  — This post DOES NOT ..(repeat)…NOT…contain nudity…It does, however, contain a link to a video that has nudity and adult themes.  Please understand that if you click on the link you are doing so by your own decision and lack of will power.

You’ve been warned.

Alright, so there’s this game show on television where a guy or girl thinks they are set up to find “true love”.  However, the truth behind the show is for the main player to share oral herpes they contract from another contestant with the other unwitting contestants who think that they are actually on the show to find “true love” as well.

I think it’s all very scientific, and quite disgusting to watch.

Today, as I searched the internet for all things pathetic, I found a lot of weird posts about the game show and the most recent contestant who was eliminated … er … rejected from continuing the process of passing on oral herpes to the remaining few.

I guess she built up an immunity that the others don’t possess…or maybe she wasn’t trying hard enough…either way, she was the biggest loser, so she had to go, and now her professional career of being eye candy on Entertainment Tonight or TMZ can begin in all its worthless, pathetic shame.

Anyway…our most recent game show failure revealed something that only a select few in the world of disgusting pathetic porn ever knew…she posed for playboy.  And not only did she do it, she told the source for all things herpes and proceeded to show him her video(yes…I found the video on the internet…If you click on it, that’s your own stupidity.)

That either takes a lot of stupidity or it takes a lot of pride on her part  …  I’m going with the prior.

So…why any woman would want to pose nude for anything is beyond me.  I will never understand the mind of a woman; and I really don’t want too, but if any woman thinks that she’s immune to what men think or want…she’s kidding herself.

internet2A large number of women are always eager to attract men and will give them what they want based on what they see/read on the internet.  Because we all know that what we see/read on the internet is what EVERYONE else does and wants.

Okay, truth be told…not ALL women will do this, there are a select few who have some wits and brains about them and know that a real man desires a woman with modesty, self restraint, self respect and true old fashioned morals.  Sadly, many of the women we have in our society today think they have those things but don’t.

As a man, it’s all very pathetic when meeting someone who claims to be one thing but ends up being someone else.  I’m sure women would agree with that as well, and this appears to have happened with the weakest link who was returned to the public mass of singles.  It’s no wonder that the girl was eliminated by patient zero after watching the first two and a half minutes of the video.

I don’t encourage you to watch the whole video…but if you watch the first two and a half minutes (no nudity…just a couple weird stories that the woman tells) and I think you’ll understand what I’m saying about being someone you’re not portraying.

Take note people….it’s pathetic to try and act like someone you’re not…that goes for both genders!
