Presidential Campaign Kickoff Speech (fake)

IF…and that’s a big ‘if’ I were ever to announce my candidacy for President of the USA, I would have to write a speech.   So, I thought it over the past couple days and finally came up with one that I think fits the bill.  Leave out all the “political” garbage and just get to the heart of the issue.

well…

Actually, I’m not sure that this is what I would say, but it is something I would very much like to hear from someone who has decided to run for President.  Buuuuuttt….since we have a bunch of pathetic people who can’t write a speech that’s worth listening to, I’ll just have to do the dirty work.

Thanks for nothing all you wannabe Presidential herd-mongers.

So without further procrastination…

  1. Very nice speech. If you are not going to run, maybe you could at least get a job as a speech writer for a honest, decent candidate. Oh, wait those don’t exist. I knew my idea was pathetic. 🙂

    • Thank you! that is very kind of you.

I do believe that Ben Carson is a pretty honest and decent guy. Sadly, I don’t think he stands a snowball’s chance to get elected though.

  2. This is very well written…loved reading it. I read it on Flag Day (and it was a perfect post for my mood). I tried to leave a comment then but was having trouble doing it from my phone. Nice work.

    • thank, Doc! 🙂 It’s not your normal speech and on a personal note, I wanted to write something that I believed would unite instead of divide. We have way too much division in this country between the blues and reds.

  3. Very compelling, sir, although I have to wait and hear some of the other candidates’ speeches before casting my vote. It sounds like you’ll be the kind of leader that strives to keep our nation united while preserving the individual rights our forefathers and foremothers strove to establish and protect. Your faith is inspiring as well, and I too believe that God will continue to bless America and will help our good land survive yet another election year. In Jesus’ name, amen.

  5. That is just beautiful. Perfect. It’s almost enough to make me want to cry. If you would just run for President, I wouldn’t have to cry 😉

Also, it beats my campaign plans which were going to be, “the definition of insanity is doing to same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Let’s do something different this time. Stop voting for the Lesser of Evils and just vote for the Evilest of all Evils. Alien Overlords Rule!” Hey, it can’t be any worse then anything else we’ve tried.

    • thank you. I didn’t realize how moving it was until I walked away from it and read it again. I actually thought about writing a speech that pointed to the Alien overlords and how pathetic we humans are to think that the tiny firearms and weapons we have would ever have a chance against the awesome lasers and massive weaponry of the highly advanced Aliens, but something changed in my thought process and what you see is what I wrote.

I can honestly say that after reading it again, I’m considering throwing my name in hat. 😉
