Double Standard

Many of those people who label themselves atheists, agnostics or whatever seems to be the popular choice of the day, spend an awful lot of time spouting scripture, of which they say they don’t believe and that it isn’t God’s written word.  Then after reading what they don’t believe, they head out into the world to seek a Christian who they can debate, berate and make irate.  All for the soul purpose of trying to prove that the bible is a lie and that it’s a conjured up book of fables that contradicts itself over and over again.

And because of this, I’m amazed that there are so many people in the world trying to prove that the bible is false, and they have no fear of ridiculing, questioning and lambasting Jesus and His followers, even though God has given Jesus all power and authority on earth and could eliminate their existence in the blink of an eye.  Destroying both body and soul.

I’m puzzled.

Because those very same people who attack the beliefs of Christianity and the existence of God and Jesus, never spend any time reading, studying or trying to prove that the Qur’an is a book of fables or that it contradicts itself; and they never seem to question, ridicule or lambast Muhammad and the Muslims that follow his teachings even though those who call themselves atheists, agnostics or whatever, all believe that Muslims believe in the same God Christians do.

That seems like a very pathetic double standard.

  1. Ain’t nobody wanna get bombed hun 😀
Never actually thought of this before lol, but it will appear Christians are the more tolerant of the two. Even atheist fear death too.

    • ah. good point. 😉

See, this is what I was thinking. that Christians are an easier target because when a Christian gets irate, we go home and pray for those who have persecuted us. When radical muslims get irate…well…they go home and make devices that will destroy the infidels.

      thanks for the comment. 😉

  2. Good words you write. I always find it amazing too that militant atheists ( not the garden variety live and let live kind) feel such a need to stalk Christian blogs and comment til their faces turn blue in trying to disprove Christianity. Me thinks something much deeper is going on but they will never admit it. Well, one day they will, hopefully having reconciled things by then.

    • I think you’re correct in your statement that there’s much more going on than they care to admit. The battle for their mind and soul.

All we can do is pray that God will open their minds and soften their heart to His love for them. 🙂

      Thank you for your comment.

  3. That’s because Islam enjoys special snowflake status as “oppressed.” It is all part of the intersectionality of patriarchal oppression scale, a bizarre bit of academic nonsense that creates Identity politics. Your perceived status on that scale determines whether or not you are worthy of attack.
