Wasting Big Numbers

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) released a report on April 1st, (probably not the best day to release a report on decreasing government waste), that suggested if the federal government followed their plan for cuts it would save American taxpayers a whopping $639,000,000,000.  Yes,  that’s nine zeros behind that “639”.  If you’re part of the mathematically challenged in the herd, that’s billions of dollars over a five year period.

You can read the 52-page report here: Citizens Against Government Waste Report

I’d like to say that the report is pathetic and that many of their recommendations are just as pathetic, but…

I can’t.

Everything they recommend is actually beneficial and fiscally responsible.  Too bad I can’t say the same thing for the members of the United States Congress.

Now THAT is a pathetic group of elected officials.
